Page Designators
Printed page numbers shall be identifed as Pagination artifacts of the PageNum subtype. PDF page labels should reflect the document's logical pagination. (PDF Ref. 1.7, 8.3.1 Page Labels, pg. 594) (ISO 32000: Section 12.4.2 Page Labels, pg. 371)
"Running" Headers and Footers
Running headers and footers shall be identified as Pagination artifacts and be classified as either Header or Footer subtypes.
AUTHOR'S NOTE According to Table 10.17 (page 886, PDF 1.7 ref.) (ISO 32000: Table 328 Property List Entries for Artifacts, pg. 571), both the artifact type and subtype are optional. Is it appropriate to say that in a conforming PDF/UA document, pagination artifacts and subtypes are required?
