Chair and ISO Project Leader report on Hamburg meeting
Cherie Ekholm: Brief meeting. In attendance were Duff J, Leonard R., Dennis Newman, Martin Bailey, Olaf Drummer,
Discussion around the 6 comments of the draft spec. 1 technical concerning removing the clause in the table section that said something about not using tables only for content layout. Others were editorial. Significant cleanup. The draft on the WiKi has most of the cleanup done. Fix Bibliography. References to 32000 updated to 32000 part 2.
Longest conversation concerned German comment. Is it proper to have PDF/UA a separate specification. Centered around the issue of having a specification that is verifiable. Result, verifiable but not necessarily machine verifiable.
PDF/UA is awaiting notification that it has achieved ISO Committee Draft status.
The US committee can continue to propose additional edits to the draft.
