Review Action Items

Duff updated the Action Items list.

Discuss work performed on Modules since the last meeting

Previous contributions can be reviewed.

Develop agenda for F2F meeting in April

Agenda for Face to Face meeting to take place at the AIIM Conference and Exhibition, April 18-19 in Boston

NS - There is an issue involving some MathML that does not correspond to rendered PDF. What to do about the tags that do not render (2 or 3). The question is how do those get handled. There is a tag called a semantics tag for example. MAction has invisible elements as well.

Possible attendees:

Everyone on today's call has indicated they plan to attend.

NS indicates this is an opportune time to book flights. Fares are attractive.

DJ: April 18 - 2 sessions, morning and afternoon. April 19 a single morning session.

LR: Indicated that an hour for the math discussion should be sufficient.

MG: I suggest 90 minutes to this (Math).

DH: Happy to contribute to multimedia discussion.

DJ: Multimedia willl get another segment in the discussion

DJ: Framework?

NS: That will make a lot of sense to discuss.

Re: scripting, form entry one element in a form changes another element of the form requires a notification. One of the predicates of a forms application that is accessible.

NS: We should attempt to fill all the holes at the very least.

DJ: One request, prior to the meeting, members should attempt to experience each of these items for themselves. Annotations is now added to the list.

Framework, Annotations, Math, MultiMedia,

MG: Let's just finish tables....as well.

DJ: So it's settled. At the Face to Face Framework, Annotations, Math, MultiMedia, and Tables.

DH: Will be contacting LR and KM to coordinate work on multimedia section.

DJ: On to the Headings Module.

Discussion of the Headings Module

"Headings shall be specified when required by the content. "

MG: Suggestion for Adobe is to publish a PDF Reference with Change Bars.

From  TABLE 10.22 Standard structure types for paragraphlike elements in the PDF Reference 1.6 (Page 830)

H: (Heading) A label for a subdivision of a document’s content. It should be the first child of the division that it heads.

H1 - H6: Headings with specific levels, for use in applications that cannot hierarchically nest their sections and thus cannot determine the level of a heading from its level of nesting.

Update Action Items, review ASSIGNMENTS.

DJ:  I recommend we pick two modules to be the core subject of the next meeting.

DJ: One module could be "Navigation." There a lot of Navigation possibilities in PDF.

NS: Let's get the appropriate sections of the Reference put in.

DJ; Appears that Section 8.2 (Page 550) will be plenty to tackle.  We'll also add Scripts.

So, for next time, Navigation and Scripts.
