Review Action Items, updates from assignees, Annual Report for 2006

Annual Report:

The Chair's assessment. 3 major highlights for the year:  Committee invited experts to address certain technical issues. Committee made significant progress in adopting key document elements, committee changed methods for specification development emphasizing a minimilast core to improve progress on specification development.

Action Items:

Multimedia:

Come up with object examples of multi-media in a PDF setting. Leonard Rosenthol has a collection of such items. 3D, embedded movies, embedded caption video, etc.

Math:

NS: Continue research in proper way for resolving remaining issue.

Lists

GP: Updated, have questions regarding what should be required vs. what constitutes minimally acceptable encoding.

Discuss work performed on Modules since the last meeting.

Lists

Determining which items get the may, which items get the should - what is the minimal requirement for specifying an accessible lists. Structure types that are required. Lists shall be specified using L and LI tags.

Approach could be Item should be done according to the Specification with any exceptions.

For example, Lists shall be tagged according to the PDF 1.6 specification (Table 10.23) with the exceptions and additions specified:

Create more candidate text for Modules

JC: Name a subcommittee of experts to discuss annotations.

For annotations, list the annotation types. Annotation module was changed to annotation / type. Subcommittees for different annotations. New module for each annotation type. Multimedia module will be collapsed into the movie A/V module. The modules are moving into the technical direction not the semantic direction.
