PDF Standards Defined

As discussed at the April, 2009 ISO Conference in Hamburg, the PDF Standards community will develop and publish a document to provide guidance to interested parties wishing to gain an overall understanding of the various PDF Standards, and for those seeking information on the relationships between the various PDF standards documents.

Once completed, the document will be made available for public view on industry websites.

ISO 32000 supersedes the 1.7 edition of Adobe's PDF Reference.  For a formal statement on the relationship between the PDF Reference 1.7 and ISO 32000, see the U.S. Committee's statement on the subject.

At this preliminary stage, the draft text is available only to those present at the Hamburg meeting, and others as invited.  If you have questions, please contact Betsy Fanning.
