There are hotels in the downtown Portland area as well. The one listed are the closest to the meeting facility. Most have internet access included in the room rate. The meeting will take place on the Jones Farm campus in Building 2. The specific room location is : JF2-105. The address is 2111 NE 25th Avenue, Hillsboro, OR. The building is across the street from the Hillsboro airport on 25th Avenue.
I'll send directions in the near future to the location. We'll plan on having a continental breakfast set up around 8:30 AM and begin the meeting at 9:00 AM. If you stay in downtown Portland, allow a minimum of 30 - 35 minutes drive time to the location in Hillsboro. Otherwise, the drive time from the suggested hotels ranges between 10 to 20 minutes maximum.
United, NWA, American, Alaska and Delta all have flights into Portland and the car rental location is in the parking garage across from the terminal. Coach car or taxi to Hillsboro hotels would run around $50 or more. Also, if its your first time to Portland and/or Oregon, there is no sales tax on purchased items inclusive of food. The airport has a nice array of shops as well that promote goods manufactured in Oregon inclusive of the Nike store and Made In Oregon. If you don't like being wet, I’d suggest bringing a small umbrella as the odds are most likely favorable for rain. Daytime temps are in the low to mid 50's usually and lows in the 40's at night.
Stay tuned for more details. See you on the 30th!
